Reference for classic car events and racing in Northern Calif.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to everyone that attended our meeting last night. After a quickly corrected error, we were able to hold our zoom meeting as scheduled and had a turnout of 14 people that lasted well over two hours! Of the many topics brought up at the meeting, it was asked how to find out about events going on in our area. I have subscribed to the Nor Cal Car Culture Calendar put together every week by Tim Newey for some time and it is very informative. In fact, It is probably the one email subscription that I have that I actually read every week! Tim works incredibly hard on this calendar and it is really well put together. I was able to briefly meet him and his brother at Autorama earlier this year and they were both really nice guys who truly care about the classic car culture here in Northern California and the Nevada border. If you are getting the itch to get that Corvair out to a Cars & Coffee or a cruise or, one day, an actual car show, I encourage you all to subscribe to his newsletter. He only emails once a week and you will not be hit with any spam or nonsense. Just a lot of helpful information of events in your area. Also, if you are planning on holding an event, send him an email with details so he can include it in his newsletter. For reference, I have pasted this weeks newsletter below so you all can see what they look like when they come to your inbox. The text in blue are links to the shows on Facebook or on the web. They may not link on this email, but when you get the newsletter, you will be able to click on them for more info. I hope everyone is happy, healthy and safe. Looking forward to seeing all of you and your Corvairs in person soon! Josh Deitcher Membership SFBA CORSA Western Division Director CORSA It seems like each week there are more and more events which I hope is a good sign. My plan is to drive my 54 Chevy Pickup to the Richard Stinnott Memorial Car Show in Marysville this Saturday. Misty and her team have been working hard to put on a great show to honor her late father. There are Cars & Coffees and Cruise-Ins all over Northern California. If you are aware of one that I missed please let me know. I received a bunch of emails telling me about the new temporary location of the Cars and Coffee Folsom in El Dorado Hills. I really appreciate the help. The Tracy Cars & Coffee is also at a new location this week! I am thrilled to announce another new sponsor this week, Gary and Mary Hoffman from Di Stasio Vineyards. It is a family owned and operated business on Shenandoah Road in Plymouth. Mary's Di Stasio family has been farming this land since 1911. They specialize in handcrafted estate wines. They feature an authentic Italian food menu (panini and caprese salad). They are available for tours as well as private events and weddings. Please go check out the beautiful vineyard views and sample their amazing food and wine. I sure appreciate their generosity. Don't forget, we are always looking for more sponsors, so if you know of a business that might benefit by having an ad in our weekly emails please let me know. We are completely sold out of our 2020 American Car Culture t-shirts. The next order should be here soon. (I hope). Please click HERE if you would like to reserve one. If you have something to sell or are looking for a great deal please check out our Free Classified Ads. I have been adding a few of our cars for sale to our Classified Ads as well.
